Well today i ended up in a ditch no damage to the plow but it apperars the numbnuts wrecker driver screwed my truck up he lifted and pulled me from the back passenger side of the truck and appears to have tweeked my truck its sitting about 2 or 3 inches higher on the back right side as opposed to the back left side... he also dented the crap outta my bumper on that side... gotta claim into AAA gotta go see about an estimate tommorow... the truck probaly woulda been fine if he would have hooked up so he was lifting in the middle of the truck rather than the side but looks like the trucks gonna have to go in for some work...

where do i start. Fisrt truck cracked the frame first time out, welded it and im golden. second truck control stick on my western went had to have it replaced with the handheld, wow what a differance. then the plow side harness went, replaced that, back on the road. the the tailgate salter harness went, replaced and going again, then the motor on the spreader went, rebuilt for free nice to know people. then just monday lost one of the hitch pins that hold plow to frame, replaced and then i relized that i was leaking tranny fluid. One of the rubber lines on the trans cooler popped off from the plow bouncing around, replaced hose still leaking, just had to tighten it some more. now the bolt on the a-frame is loose just went and bought a 1 1/8" socket and wrench to fix that. have a dust shield flapping around that i need to take off the frt drivers side, but its to COLD to worry about it. Other then that Truck and plow are ok, KNOCK ON WOOD

I had to replace the battery and put a new plug on the plow motor was my fault for not checking where the connectors would be after I put the pump cover on. After the plow stopped angling I checked it out and found the crushed connectors, a trip to autozone and 15 minutes later everything was cool.

Just got up after resting for 8 hours- went 47 hours straight with now sleep- plowing! for 43 of them ( with of course food and rest stops). NO PROBLEMS!!!! Actually had no problems on this run! Nothing broke, tweaked, etc.... Old Truck did good!! Now it's finally stopped snowing, and I'm going to party tonight! Gotta go out and have some fun! LOL- at least some more fun besides plowing snow. Waiting for the offical total- but we ended up with about 3'6" or more.

Everything has been holding up fine, but we haven't plowed for a good month and a half. Tomarrow we will finally see some snow. Can't wait!

Bill,

Mine's hanging W I D E.

Been a busy winter so far. Lot's of time on the 810 pushing the driveway. 1800+ft gives a long run to get the speed up. Kinda felt like Wyldman with the 50mph plowing going on.

Should have put the Side wing on sooner though as the banks are now 4-5' high along the down wind side of the driveway. Got to make some mods to the wing so I can push them back farther.

So far the damage has been:

1 wing pivot pin.....( 60+ mph on a big chunk of frozen tundra )
It still worked. Moved in and out most of the way but hung funny. Pulled the hoses. Slid the box out. Popped out the old pin and dropped in a new one. Added a second spring to that side to check the difference and I like it.

1 busted hose - ( mail box didn't fare too well either )
atleast it didn't go into the truck somewhere

1 Flat tire - Got a little carried away with the side wing on the driveway and had it tripping in all sorts of silly directions. Got to make a mod to the hanger and the blade to get more width and height and I'm off with it again.

1 Battery that decided to give up the ghost. Got this truck from BLIZZARD over a year ago. 120+K on it and don't know how long the battery has been in it. 2:30 am repair on that one.

1 very big stuck. Slid across a road while doing a driveway and upto the frame in the ditch. 3:30 a.m. and had to wait for a buddie to get done plowing to pull me out. Dropped the Plow first and then turned around a pulled it out of the ditch.

That's it so Far.

Hung the 8611 back on and have been pushing the piles and drives back. So now I've gotten really wide.
