OK, stupid question #1000: Western Prodigy plow, 6 years old, appears to operate perfectly except: When I push hard with one side, such as trying to slice off a foot or so of a berm, with the blade straight, the pressure will angle the blade, impeding my slicing effort. Is this normal? I have only done this in the float mode, so I don't know if floating the blade also frees up the L-R movement.

Yes, that is normal

It’s a safety feature so you don’t bend the wing when scooping out of the hard berm

Try it having the wing retracted and then dig into the hard berm.

Can't retract the wing; it automatically moves as the blade is angled. Since it's normal, I'll just live with it. Thanks.
