Here are a few pics or our mount. We pull the bumper and bolt this straight up on the end of the frame rails.

Here are the braces that go back up and bolt to ears welded to the bottom of the frame.

This is a view of the brackets that bolt up to the end of the frame rails once the bumper is pulled.

See Jerre, He can make anything. No one would put a 8611 on my 6500 but this guy in Erie would. The rest is history!
Everest has a nice set up for them. It looked sweeeet. It's on their website.

hey guys...i'm back to thinking about putting a plow on my lo pro. I'm partial to a boss or a blizzard,. my question now is how and where exactly do the mounts mount up? I'm kind of curious as to that right at the moment...

Jerre, do you still have anything in stock for this??

Does anyone know if any manufacturer is making plow set-up specifically for the Lo-Pro International's? It's similar to the New Chevy and GMC's 4500 & 5500's. I contacted BOSS for a VEE, but they don't mass produce a mount and wiring for my truck. But they said that could "custom make" me A mount and wiring harness:popcorn2...ya right!
I receaved the same imfo from boss about my Int. 6 wheeler, and my ford
F-600. I told them to just sell me the prefabbed tube bracket and I would take it from there, and so they did. Worked out anyhow because I set mine up to be capable of excepting a bonelle plow or any municipale plow. It sticks out farther for this but it works great because we can push the snow 7' to 8' beyond the curb. It really helps the little trucks out.
It was'nt that hard to fab and wire.

I have 2 boss mounts FOR SALE right now, one from a 99 ford f-350 and one from a 99 dodge 2500, which i could use to make the bracketry, and some fabbing of course. i'd like to see more on how they're supposed to be mounted.

Brent, what all was involved with the wiring? I'm guessing the headlights was the worst part?? (but i see you didn't hook that part up, you're using headlights mounted on your hood/fenders of your truck)

I'd like to utilize the tower lights off of the plow also. Keeping everything in tact.

Yes you could if you stick with a 9.2 blade or smaller. once into the 10' catigory the mounting bracket jumps substantialy in size though. Without looking at it I want to say the square tube stock is 4"x4" and the hooks are made with doubled up 1/2" stock. reguardless it shocked the hell out of me when it arrived at the shop, and realised this was no tinker toy like the rest.:grinz
Hey Adom you could easily stick with a 9.2' V XT, and use those existing mounts though. ( I'd never make this comment around a woman but whats 10 inches mean anyway :haha ) Besides It will save you $1100.00 on average by doing that. there is a huge difference in cost once you jump up to the 27000 gvw class. Be sides I have a 9.2' V XT on another dump and I prefer it over the 10' anyhow. Read my forom under BOSS PLOWS , BOSS 9.2' V XT vers. BOSS 10' V. The one with the 9.2 weighs on average 18000 pounds at the start of each push with salt in it. I've never had any issues.:wink
Heres a nice little pick of my tinker toy ( Of coars first thing I did was Get a Huge Air horn for it, so I felt like I was In a Big Truck :grinz )

The wireing is no big deal I had them through me a regular harness for a GM4500 4x4, theyll give you the runaround If you tell them exactley what your trying to do. I got in a Huge argument over this with the techs were I was trying to by the plow from :argue( of coars this was for the cab over In which they said I qoute " It Cant Be Done " "Where Sorry But You Can Not Mount Or Wire This Truck For A Boss Plow") So I went in another day and delt with another clerk told him I wanted to by a plow for a 2005 GM 4500 4x4, Not a problem done. Frustrations over!
Any how all you have to do is take off the connectors that are provided for the head lights and get some new ones from the hardware store to adapt, or just hard wire everything like I do. ( but my trucks are for long term investment and I'm not planning on selling any of them anyhow, So it does'nt bother me at all to hardwire. ) Other than the head lights you should'nt have any issues Adom. Espeacially on your truck the conventional cabs and larger trucks I've found are the easiest to work on.
As for mounting your plow I would just get 1/2" plate and mount it to the frame, and take 2" tube stock weld a 3"x6" angle stock 1/2" thick to both ends at your desired degree of angle drill out both ends and mount it with 3/4 " bolts to your frames. that way everything is adjustable for your hight, just in case you deside to change tires and rims. Just make sure you follow specs on setback depths and hight depths depending on which plow you choose.
Like I said earlier There is a huge difference between them when you jump to the 10' series in BOSS plows. If you need any specs on either contact me and I can fax you all the imfo that I have.:smoking

I know there is a big jump in plows. I was thinking towards a 9'2 with wings....I run an 8'2 with wings on my gmc 2500hd. And since i would be the one running the dump, i know how to take it easy anyhow and besides if i break it, i fix it....

Jerre quoted me a hell of a price for a blizzard, but other than him, there are no one around here that handles blizzard parts. I have a boss dealer that is minutes away....

Not one is out of the picture yet, partial to a boss or blizzard......

I'm a little undecided my self for the next truck. My thoughts were the exact same Im not ruleing anything out our going to make any rash , impulse decisions. Really gona take my Time. I talked to Jerre also, said he'll fix me up when ever I'm ready. I just keep hearing differant things more and more every day. I personally havent had any problems with the BOSS plows I've got and the guys that work for me put them to the test thats for sure.

Great looking set up on the cab over.

I finally bought a plow for my international. Some of you may have seen it pictured under the boss section. I was wondering if any of you guys had any ideas or tips on wiring it up for my specific truck. We fabricated up a custom mount over a weekend, last week. And now are onto the fun part of wiring it up. Thanks in advance to any ideas...

Located in the LF wheelwell here should be a connector in the wiring harness that feeds to the hood. It is there so that you can disconnect the hood and leave all of the wiring intact. What I have done to several of my Internationals is to get or make plugs that connect into that connector. I was able to get one set of connectors from the local junkyard that had a heavily damaged truck. The other two I went to the International dealer and bought the plug body and then the individual wires that insert into the body and made my own.

So now when we istall the plow frame all we do is disconnect that plug and insert the plug we made up to feed thge plow lights. I also made up another plug to feed power to the marker and turn signals on the hood too but left out the head lights.

With the multiplex wiring that is on vehicles it is a better and safer way than cutting and splicing into the original harness.

well got it finished just in time, sometime Sunday evening, and we got over 12" of snow Monday! Ended up putting it to good use...problem is traction, i had probably 4-5 tons of aggregate in it, but still one side spins more than i would like. I wanted to know if someone knew if someone make a locker or something similar for the rear-end? And in another choice, if tire chains would be to my benefit?

WIll be getting pictures up as soon as i can...still busy with excavating, and now snow, as well as other projects...

Check Randys ring and pinion http://www.ringpinion.com/ they sell lockers, but your going to pay big money for one in a truck that size if they even make one that big... They are a good place to deal with, ive never had any issues with them when ive ordered stuff..
