For those who are per season, as you all know, we make less or lose more everytime it snows. I figure on 27 events per season. These year, as of tues, we've had 138.6 inches here in Syracuse. I've already done my accounts 28 times. I could easily do 10 more, maybe 20.

Whats your per inch min. ? At 138" of snow plowed at 3"= 46 plows.
Since my last post in another thread we're at 29 Res & 32 Comm runs and we only have 78" recorded. Seems like your doing pretty good in that aspect.

It just happens I charged the least I felt I could for an 'average' winter and do ok.

There is nothing average when it comes to winter, charge what you need to charge and go from there. We have a ton of guys around here that only charge $179-$225 per season, I won't even get outta bed for under $350 for the same driveway. Most of the cheap guys only show up once in 24hrs. It seems like you do them before work & after work. If you get snow during the day who plows the drives so they can get in ?

We're thinking either trying a couple commercials instead of around a dozen resi.

You said you both work day jobs correct ? How are you going to take care of Commercials during the day ? They usually don't require a full plow during the day, but someone will need to be around to keep the main lanes open throughout the day. We like to nail them bout lunchtime and before they leave to go home.
