Sounds like the touchpad is bad. Unusual that it would go bad just sitting. Can you borrow a known good one from a friend and see if it works? Since power is there right up to the touchpad.... the only other thing would be a possible ground problem. The orange wire is the ground. The twin toggles don't use a ground, but the touchpad and Slik Stik need a good ground to work.

It is possible the ground wire got knocked off over the summer, or removed for some reason. Connect the test light to the ground where the orange wire goes, and then touch the blue wire pin in the plug.

I had a guy last year that had to be at the airport in 2 hours, and had to have his truck fixed so his guys could plow while he was gone. He was going nuts telling me that he doesn't care what it needs, just get it working. Found the wire from the battery to the motor solenoid disconnected. He had the power steering pump replaced a month or so before, and a new battery put in. They forgot to hook the wire back up. :D

Took me 2 minutes, no charge. He insisted on buying us coffee, and stuffed a 5 in my pocket.

It could be the On/Off switch on the touchpad too. DCLS had that problem last year. Not sure how he discovered that was the problem though. There is a Meyer part# for it. I stock aftermarket ones here. Quite a bit cheaper than OEM :wink

Is this a single lug motor? If so, sounds like the motor lost it's ground. That is why back in 03 Meyer went to a 2 lug motor, with a jumper to the original base ground wire location, to ensure the valves are grounded too. It happened to my brothers E-60, lost the ground, solenoid just clicking.

Take a test light and hook it to the battery + and touch it to the motor housing. Then touch it to the ground bolt on the base of the E-60. Got a good ground in both places?

Also, 12.5 is low. Is this with the truck running? Should be around 14 or so. The 9 is not really enough to run the motor. Perfect example, got my brother's beater running 2 weeks ago. Disconnected the jumper cables, and the plow does not work. Hook them back up, and it does.

If the motor housing tests as a good ground, hook a jumper cable to the + on the battery, and touch the other end to the + post on the plow motor. If the ground is good, you will get a spark, and if the motor runs, then I would imagine there is a problem with the motor solenoid. The base of the motor solenoid must be grounded too for it to work properly.

Let us know what you find.
