Im looking for a plow

Western 8.5 Pro Ultra- $3875 w/o install

Boss 8.5 Straight blade-$3875 w/o install (supposedly)

There both the same price, whats to better choice?

I just paid $4400.00 for a Boss 8'6'' staright installed with the hand held controller here in Michigan. I really like the speed and how easy the Boss is to install. The big thing to me is Dealer support when you need it. My Dealer is right around the corner and stocks plenty of parts if they are needed.

I think if you have a 2500 hd I would be looking either at a v plow or a bigger blade so you can cut down on your time and then go with the dealer who you think will give you the better support. We run all boss plows but has more to do with the dealer backing his product up than a pro boss or western approach.

sonjaab, what up, lol, i frogot to post on this site. Im gonna start out with a straight blade, im going to college next year for landscape architecture. So ill probly put the landscaping biz on hold and sell my truck and plow, when i get outa school im gonna start the biz up again with more knowledge and experience

Just got a flyer from Blizzard plows. Model 860 8'6" straight blade plow installed for $2899.00. These are great plows, you may want to consider one. :blizzard

METRO..........have seen posts from a few other guys around here
and elsewhere getting a Blizzard straight blade set up for UNDER
$3000 INSTALLED !

Heck of a deal..............I wonder how they would compare to a
Western or Boss? Haven't seen any negative posts from the guys
that have them......................geo

do you think thats a regional deal? ill call some blizzard dealers around here, but they really arent as close as the wester/boss dealer. Hes like 15 min away
