OK- I'm done with driveways... (my truck aint best suited)- I have an F250 crew cab with Arctic plow- I'm now going to be doing small roads and neighborhoods. Is there any literature (diagrams etc) showing how to best move snow for roads? I know th striaght roads are fairly easy pushing it to the side- but how about T intersections, 4 ways andcul-de-sacs??
Thanks for any advice- I will purchase books/info etc- I just can't find any

Hands on plowing experience is what you need.... Just remember everything has to be plowed OFF the road.. In my opinion it don't matter where it ends up as long as its not on the roadway... And common sense judgment on where to put it

Make sure your plow has a good deflector. Snow can pile on your windshield in a hurry leaving you blind.

Keep an eye on your cutting edge. If plowing salted roadways an edge can wear very quick.

Need a decent warning light. Plowing roads is one of the few times to have silly blinking carnival crap all over your truck.

Experience,Experience,Experience...You can't beat seat of the pants experience....Trip edge plows are best for street plowing, full trip will work but when you clip a man hole cover you'll see why you want a trip edge ;)
don't have to tell me LOL town i was driving for at one time had continetal plows from dyer full trip blades .

I'll never forget the first time I plowed for the state, I had a full-trip Root plow, I was running the double yellow line, well ya know how on some state roads they have those raised reflective bumps, well I caught one @ about 2 in the morning, that little **** sent a 2,000lb plow about 3' in the air & it took a 2' chunk out of the cutting edge
