could you add one or two large bore short stroke cylinders towards the front that would push 12-18" up and help the initial push because that is when the unit is stressed the most tee it into the main lift so that is not an extra control
I will try and make a picture of my thought

here is the pic if you can decifer it

I know what you are suggesting, and we have looked at doing that. The issue we see is that the rams would not be pushing against anything once the body started to raise. Not so sure this is such a good thing for the rams. Would they/could they be damaged by putting full pressure agaist nothing? Would the packing withstand that sort of force? Not sure?

I have even thought of a couple airbags hooked to a small compressor. Same idea as my rear airbags. Use a couple bellows bags, hit the switch and let them inflate. Once the bed is up 6" it would raise fine with any load. Just a thought on my end, but in the long run, moveing the bed is the right thing to do.

That's too bad when you buy a product and it doesn't live up to the salesman's jibberish. I have a feeling the salesman doesn't know the difference between 7,000 lbs and 7 ton. You know how smart they are, can't tell them nothing. Sucks spending time and money on something that should work right to begin with. Good Luck.
