We have used Meyers and liked them,on the CTD we run a 8.5 blade(extended form a 7.5 blade,very light) and and E-47 pump. The pump is about 10-11 years old,its has gone from a '98 GMC Dually Diesel to the CTD and has been rebuilt once. My dad's business partner in Pa runs Curtis the only thing i found wrong with them is they can't stack snow very high, the Meyers can stack twice even 3 times as high depending on the stop blocks.
Another guy that subs for my dad(in Pa)runs Boss V-plows and they are by far the quickest I have seen.
I am going to stick with the Meyers since we have not have any real problem with them,my new(to me) truck is going to be a Diamond so i will stick with the tradition,

Ive had my Meyer for 21 years now. Its belt driven and there has really been no problems with it. Its the only thing ive been plowing with and will be for sometime. Other then that i cant add much to this thread because i have not plowed with the others.

Thats funny, my friend and I owned a custom car shop for quite a few years, and did a lot of hydraulic and air suspensions. We had a customer come in one time that had 4 western cable operated pumps controlling the the suspension, I was funny, I wish I had a pic.BWhite said:

I have an Arctic poly plow . works great ,no problems with it. fast enough for me...

this is an excellent discusion,i cant belive the western faithful,i mean come on the both have douglas hydrolics,,they are the SAME COMPANY,any way the are both very good,but boss is by far superior,they go through very hard testing,boss will not settle for any thing but the best pumps,but most top plow makers are good,boss is just beter,,merry x-mas everybody;;
