Looking for the name of the service or piece of equipment that totally flushes out the transmission, torque converter, lines, etc.? I heard this is better than just changing the fluid and filter. Can anyone help?

Your better off to change it yourself. If you do it regularly, you don't have to worry about getting every last drop.

You can drain the pan, valve body, and convertor.Change the filter and your good to go.I'd recommend a drain plug for the pan,to make it easier next time.

Rick,

I take it you have a Ford, go to www.thedieselstop.com, they have a faqs section, it goes into great detail on how to change the transmission fluid, much better that getting it flushed.

I just had mine flushed and serviced. They use a machine call a Big Dawg. For the ride home from the dealership today it did seam like it did shift better. It cost 141. with filters and fluid to have done. Itwas the last time to the dealer before the warrenty 3/36 warrenty expires on dec 5.
