I used my dogg spreader for the first time today and I used 3 X 50ib bags for a 1/2 mile drive way. Does that seemed reasonable?

From what I understand, average is bout 800 to 1000 pounds per acre, so do some math on your square footage, but I think you were low.

By low I assume you mean I didn’t use enough! I’ve done some calculations and I think I need 5 x 50lb bags.

1/2 mile for 1 car width would be roughly 1/2 acre. That means on the low end you'd be at 400 lbs or 8 bags
