I acquired an older monarch pump for my snow plow, I don’t know any info on it, trying to figure out how to get it working I think I have the wiring figured out, all the coils magnetize when I push the buttons as they should but all it does is click the motor doesn’t kick in can anyone give me any insight?

These are the only two wires I have other then the ones that go to the coils, obviously the brown goes to the small stud, does the black go to ground on the battery?

Battery positive at least a 4 gauge cable to the relay post, the unit needs a ground cable bolted to it thtas run to battery negative, also 4 gauge. the small terminal is the signal wire.
