Hello All,

I was wondering what calculations you all are using in regards to pricing per event sidewalk shoveling. 1-3, 3-6, 6-9? Any help would really be appreciated.

Here is the question how much longer does it take you to clear 1-3” compared to 3-6” and finall 6-9”? Figure out your costs per hour and estimate your per requirements per each amount and then tack on 10% or 15% for a good measure and should have your a decent amount.

If it snows 3 inches which 3 inches are you going to charge me for 1 to 3 or 3 to 6 ?
I can’t charge me for 3 inches on two different pricing levels .
1-3, 4-6, 7-11 , 12+

How many snow events do you get a year
how much is your truck insurance
how much does it cost to run your truck per hr
how much does it cost to pay the operator
how much do your materials cost
then you got to figure out your profit margin.

How much you need to charge is only an answer or you know because my overhead and operating costs are different than yours

I charge double every 2 inches. 2 inch is my trigger. So 4 inches is double original push cost. 6 inches is triple. 8 inch is quadruple. It’s rare to get over 6 and occasionally at 4 inches due to usually having pushed it once all ready. Hope that helps
