How to remove vertical piston for cleaning.

658 Views 4 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  dieseldude
I am doing maintenance on my fisher plow hydraulics. Lots of crud in the base lug so I want to remove piston to clean it out. All hydraulic fluid seems to be out but I can’t seem to take out the piston. Nut holding the piston from top is already out.

Got it up but not out. Keep pulling? I don’t want to break anything

Put the base in a vise. Put a bar thru the piston hole. Hit bar with a hammer.
