I saw on, I believe, Smith Brothers Plow site that if the socket screws are stuck or sized in the block to try heating them with an ox/acetylene torch to free them. I was wondering if a Mapp torch would work also. Has anyone tried using a Mapp torch to break the socket screws lose in the PA block. I was thinking of using one along with candle wax to break the seized bolts to allow them to be removed without breaking them.

eat the bolt and apply the candle or bees wax it is dran in arond the shank and thread of the bolt liike solder is drwan into a pipe joint. This spposedly lubricates the bolt and makes it easier ro remove.
