DK2 Snow Plows - Terrible Customer Service

Hello,

I have a 7 foot DK2 snow plow. Winch driven. Nothing special, but it gets the job done.

I am looking for a Winch Control Box (WCB) with 3 "prongs" as my wireless remote plug-in has 3 "holes".

I ordered this one from the DK2 website, DK2 Snow Plow Winch Control Box — DK2 , which is pictured identical to my old one that seems to have fried itself internally. But those DK2 buggers sent me a different one, which has 4 "prongs", so my 3 "hole" wireless remote can't plug into it!

I have been emailing their DK2 website, calling them on the phone, and filling out their warranty forms for 2 weeks now, and they have not resolved my issue. I get hung up on, no replies to emails, etc. DK2 has terrible customer service! Their website also now says "OUT OF STOCK".

Meanwhile, I have been clearing parking lots with a 30 inch snowblower instead of my 7 foot snowplow!! Talk about pain in the butt. Thanks DK2!

I was thinking of ordering this: DK2 Snow Plow Warrior 3,000lb Winch Kit — DK2 , as it says it comes with the winch control box and wireless remote, so I am assuming it should all be compatible with itself as it comes together as a package. However, I don't want to give any more money to DK2!

Does anyone know a similar winch kit with the winch control box and wireless remote? Or does anyone know where I could get the 3 "prong" DK2 winch control box from somewhere other than DK2?

Any recommendations to get this plow working?

Why I need some WIRE, when I am waiting for my WIRELESS remote?

Clearly, you think that 1+1=4057. Because you don't even make any sense! Are you from Mars?

Well, EVERYTHING they sent me!

The original part I ordered, WRONG part.

Then they sent me a WIRED remote when they were supposed to send me a WIRELESS remote.

And now I am still waiting for a wireless remote.

My original purchase date of the original part was mid-October. It is nearly 2 months, and DK2 has still not resolved this issue.

I agree - he was very unhelpful. Some people, right?

Have you tried making an appointment with your dealer to get it fixed correctly?

Update on December 30, 2022.

It has now been 2 and a half months, and DK2 has still NOT resolved my issue.

They now say they are "Out of Stock" of wireless remotes.

Despite them telling me they have over 1000 winch units in stock that come with the wireless remote and winch control box. Like seriously, you can't open one of your 1000 units to take out a wireless remote to send it to your customer to make them happy?

I wonder if the booga-eaters (above) work for DK2? The incompetence is a perfect match!

DK2 is the type of company that you want to AVOID at all costs! Even if they are giving away free snow plows.

Between the booga-eatin' knucklebusta, and the SnoFarmer who doesn't know anything about anything,
Just because the answer is not what YOU want to hear, doesn't mean it's bad.
Sometimes you have to go around B to get to C from A. It's not always a straight path.

As was asked above, have you tried taking the plow to the local DK2 dealer for support?

I know when I have a combative customer, I bow to there every wim or need.

So what do you hope to have come from this?
that you’re going to give them a black-eye and have this thread remain here for ever and ever to warn others about them and us?

Update on March 15.

Still no service from DK2.

This snow plow is still dead in the water with only 2 weeks of winter left. Thanks guys!

On a positive note, I bought a new snow plow! I got a Blizzard Speedwing! And this thing is the bomb!

I am more efficient with the Blizzard Speedwing, and it is a WWWAAAYYY better plow!

I even picked up 2 new parking lots (small ones) just because the owner said "cool plow" (Blizzard Speedwing). What can I say? People like nice things!

You don't even need to know how to use the plow, but if it is nicer than the next guys, you have a statistically better chance of getting the job just because you have nice shiny stuff (human psychology is on your side).

Just out of wonder, with this new plow, how did you or the installer run the plow wiring from the engine compartment threw the firewall into the cab of the truck?
I use the hand held remote that came with the plow DK2
