Late model 8' MM1 (Insta-Act cylinder and 3 cable hook-up) on a F250.

Always seems to be a PITA to mount this plow.

Problem seems to be related to additional weight coming off the front end of the truck when I back off of the mounting bars. Then when I line up to put the plow back on, the truck is ~1" too high and I have problems getting the pins lined up, then I have to get the floor jack out to lift the plow frame.

Am I doing something wrong here?

Are there any tips or tricks to make this go smoother?

Sounds like a leveling issue.

it's definitely worse on gravel drive than when I can drop the plow on the concrete slab in the garage.... but pins are low on both sides either way.

Perhaps try dropping it on a piece of wood, maybe 2 2x4’s should give it the height it needs

I used drop mine on a 2x4 as well. I'm on a gravel drive way.

Use a ratchet strap from triangle to the lower frame to keep it in place if it sinks over the summertime tighten up the strap

just put a strap from triangle to plow blade frame and snug it up
