I’ve tried everything I can think of:
  • confirming the Unit is turned off
  • turned off headlights manually
  • waiting it out (still illuminated two days after last time truck ran)
  • dimmer switch turned down
  • holding down on power off button
What‘ve I missed?
I can only find notes online about controllers shutting down prematurely, not having the handheld controller illumination stuck “on”
I am disconnecting under at the dash for now, but I’d rather not keep doing and undoing that type of plastic connection.

Can you unplug and replug it in?

Yes, I can. That’s how I shut it off when I’m done plowing, is to unplug it under the dash. but it’s one of those crappy oldstyle square plastic with tiny tangs and I hate to keep working that type of connector

If you know some one with a compatible controller you might swap it and see if it the controller itself. Which is my guess.
