URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DETROIT/PONTIAC MI
428 PM EST MON DEC 22 2003

...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FOR A PORTION OF SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN
ON TUESDAY...

.A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE INTO LOWER MICHIGAN OVERNIGHT AND INTERACT
WITH A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM DEVELOPING OVER MISSOURI. THIS WILL
RESULT IN THE POTENTIAL FOR RAIN TO CHANGE OVER TO HEAVY SNOWFALL IN
SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN ON TUESDAY.

SNOW ACCUMULATION GREATER THAN 6 INCHES IS POSSIBLE IN THE WATCH
AREA...WHICH RUNS GENERALLY ALONG AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM OWOSSO TO
SANDUSKY AND GENERALLY NORTH OF A LINE FROM ANN ARBOR TO DETROIT.
THE WATCH AREA INCLUDES FLINT...PORT HURON...AND THE DETROIT METRO
AREA.

THE SNOW WILL DIMINISH BY TUESDAY EVENING AS THE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM
MOVES FROM THE OHIO VALLEY INTO ONTARIO...EAST OF LAKE HURON.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DETROIT/PONTIAC HAS ISSUED A WINTER
STORM WATCH FOR POTENTIAL SNOWFALL OF GREATER THAN 6 INCHES ON
TUESDAY. PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO BE ALL SNOW...OR CHANGE FROM
RAIN TO SNOW...EARLY TUESDAY MORNING IN THE WATCH AREA...AND LAST
THROUGH THE AFTERNOON. SNOWFALL RATES COULD BE HEAVY AT TIMES AND
RESULT IN DANGEROUS CONDITIONS FOR TRAVEL AND OUTDOOR ACTIVITY.

REMEMBER...A WINTER STORM WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR A
HAZARDOUS WINTER STORM EVENT IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH AREA...BUT

Yet another one misses us this month. It's raining hard here, the grass is greener today. I might have to mow if it gets any greener LOL. We might be able to put some salt down tonight/early Wednesday morning. After a while just salting tends to get boring:zzzz But its easy money too. Have a good holiday everyone and hope for snowplowing! plowing!
