I have just retrofitted a plow onto my 02 Chevy Silverado. The truck did not come with a "plow prep package" so I fastened the plow directly to my chassis and I'm concerned about having a airbag deployment. If I pull the airbag fuse will that disarm the system?

Thanks for any help!!!!!

In 33 years s of plowing snow i’ve never heard of somebody’s airbag going off from plowing snow.
I bent the front horns on one truck and my airbag didn’t deploy .
And if you hit something hard enough for your airbags to deploy you’re going to want them to deploy .

PS all of our plow frames are connected to our chassis nothing is connected to the body .

I apologize ahead of time if you take this free help as snarky

Don’t disarm the airbags, in fact if you’re a mechanic or a dealer, that’s a felony. As sno said, if you hit something hard enough, you’re going to want that airbag.
