Is it worth getting a plow for F150 in Vancouver..

Trying to see if it makes sense to buy a plow and salt shaker and if so what type for F150.

Large yard approx 1.5 acres to clear, once to twice per year.

Its costing 1500 or so per year with bad service..

Any advise is appreciated

$1500 per year for bad service. It seems to me that you will need 4-6 years to see the cost recuperated. Then you have extra wear and tear on the truck and maintenance. The best solution is probably to get a better service provider.

depends what you can find
I bought a used plow, after said and done i was about $2200 in. and that was about 10 years ago
i have made up some personal attachments so i can use it to pull fence post, move trailers around the farm with the front end
and i have been known to level dirt and gravel and push up brush piles with my plow
so for me it more that just a winter tool
