2018 F150 Ecoboost / Fisher Homesteader
I have been plowing my (personal drive only) with a '06 Nissan Frontier and Homesteader 7'4 for the past 6 years and have had zero problems. It's time for a new truck and I really like the F150's. My local dealer (I'm in the sticks by the way) is telling me you need to have the "plow prep package" along with the 5.0 liter (no ecoboost 2.7 or 3.5L). Fisher's configurator tool says you can mount the Homesteader onto a 2018 with a V6. I also talked to a local Fisher Dealer who says you can do it if Fisher's site says you can do as they test every set-up. I guess I'm more worried about asking for trouble with the Ford dealer down the line if warranty issues come up.
I'm not looking for a debate on this being a good or bad plow set-up. I'm looking for someone that has mounted a light duty plow on a newer F150 with V6 and confirm it is okay and any how it went down with dealer/service after the fact.
