'08 Chevy Silverado 2500HD, 19K miles and if there were major component replacements at this point then there is no hope for GM! 7.5' Fisher HD is the blade.
Our new rig is a 1991 Silverado K2500HD ExCab showing 254,ooo miles, some of them pretty hard. IMHO it is a classic $400 truck, except 4WD (almost) and has a plow. The plow may be older than the truck (the pump looks like it's off a 1953 Studebaker). I know the tired 350 engine (a '92 or '93) is at least the third, I'm told it replaced a replacement engine that burned-up in a month. The automatic has been replaced with a stick. The glovebox pops open. The driver's door won't quite shut. The paint looks good at 30 feet and awful up close. It wanders on the road. I believe I pulled factory-original brake shoes out of the rear. Brake lines crumped at a touch. Aside from things that were used-hard (it has holes for a 5th-wheel hitch), it has also sat idle for a couple years, and many things are annoyed about being asked to work again.
Unlike the previous owner, or you guys, I only ask for 400 feet down the drive and back, and a couple gas/milk runs a year. I think many key things are 98% worn-out, and at the rate I'll use it there's a decade or more left in it.

In 2001 I bought my first NEW new car. I was driving a 1979 Thunderbird with 238,000 miles, very comfortable, but the price of gas was going over $2, and there was a new noise in the gearbox. I kind of feared the dealer would CHARGE me for leaving 3,950 pounds on his lot.
I think i can manage a trip up your way friday. Ill two way you friday. whats a good time.
