Snow Chief Package sounds like a really expensive snow plow prep package which has everything the "Chief" does except the flashy decal...

Snow Plow Prep retails for about $200.00.

If you put it on a ST, it'll even have the vinyl floors and save you few more $$!

I've got two of them with the Snow Plow Prep and Trailer Tow Package Combo, only $75.00 more (Pix included).

Anti-spin axle is part of the tow package. At least according to the two window stickers on my trucks.

Like said: alot cheeper to go with the ST and plow prep. Plus I think the ST looks better. Personaly the snow logo is ugly. This fall after plowing in a Reg. cab for 17 years I was forced into a Quad cab, for a few reasons. One: for leasing the price was about half the cost of a reg. cab due to higher resale values. Two, all the options I wanted on an SLT reg. would have cost me more than the Quad Cab.
Now after 40 plus hours of plowing this season I don't think I'd go back to a reg cab for my self. I'd rather be comfortalble. Back seat is great to keep all the winter gear. I still own have a reg. cab truck, but to plow I'll take the keys for the quad first.

I to will be moving to the Quad Cab . I still believe the reg cab is best for plowing but the added room of the quad especially with the fold flat steel floor is a great option to have .

What does that Snow Chief Decal look like ?

Dodge has a history of these packages. I can remember the sno-fiter and sno-commander, both came factory equipped with Meyers plows. I can recall seeing them on transporters with the plows in the bed. Back then the stripe was a yellow/black segmented reflective decal that ran the full length of the truck.

My dad had a SnoCommander. It was either a '76 or '78. I'm pretty sure it had a 440 and was a shortbox. I can still remember that stripe. And the Meyers.

It looks like if you buy a diesel all you get added is a reflective package because everything else is with a diesel if you order the no spin

Executive has 3 in their online inventory. You can see the window sticker on the site. No pics though.

I remember a sno-fighter and a snow commander we had back in the mid seventies. I was a youngster then but I always thought they were cool trucks mainly because of the decals.

Here's an old pic of my brother's 79. This was around 1993. He didn't have it long. Previous owner put an E-47 pump out front. Valve was still on the wheelwell under the hood, but the pump was long gone. Control knobs still in the cab, but cables were cut. We referred to the previous owner as "the butcher". My brother had a clutch and motor (New) put in it. That thing was a beast. What made him get rid of it was the bill he got for the front axle U joints
