question re: smarthitch 2 torsion springs

Hello,
My 8' superduty straightblade has a smarthitch 2 setup.

However, when I attempt to mount the plow to the truck, the upper mounting pins engage thru the 2nd set of holes as soon as I flip the ears over to the on position.

Does anyone have a photo of the correct orientation for the torsion springs?
I believe mine are installed wrong or perhaps bent.

By torsion springs I mean the ones that look like a clothespin spring.

Thanks

That was a problem for quite a few years.
Boss has a new redesigned SmartHitch spring available that pretty much takes care of the problem.
Here is the part number for the replacement kit. MSC05076

Thank you,
I believe however that my springs may simply be installed incorrectly.

When I google image the MSC05076, it looks just like the springs on my plow.

If i could just see a photo of the springs installed, I think I would be fine.

I'm going to go take a picture of my setup & see if I can explain better or ask better questions.

So what does the big "hook" hook onto?

What's the deal with the slotted hole(where pen is pointing to)? Does anything go in that hole?

.

The pictures on the website are the old style like what you have.
And yes they are installed incorrectly.
